Which external devices can be synchronized with OptiTrack systems, and how can they be sync’d?
When configured correctly, an OptiTrack system can be synchronized with external devices (e.g. shutter glasses, video recorders, and force plates) for specific applications. The OptiHub and the eSync are used to incorporate and synchronize external devices.
OptiHub
USB-based camera systems can use the OptiHub to synchronize signals from both internal and external devices. When an external device is incorporated into the system, the OptiHub can either receive (slave) or initiate (master) trigger signals through an external sync in/out port.

eSync
The eSync can be used to synchronize external devices into the Ethernet-based camera system. It has multiple synchronization ports which allow integrating external signals from other devices. When an eSync is used, it is considered as the master in the synchronization chain.
Unlike the OptiHub which is also responsible for other functionalities, the eSync is specifically designed for external synchronization purposes only, and it provides extended synchronization options compared to the OptiHub.

In Motive, synchronization settings can be adjusted through the Synchronization Pane which can be found under the Tools tab. Visit the OptiTrack Wiki for more information on the Synchronization Pane.
