What is the Exposure (EXP) setting, and how does adjusting it impact tracking?

The Exposure value in the camera setting controls how long the shutter remains open, per frame. Increasing the Exposure value allows more light in, creating a brighter image that can increase visibility for small and dim markers. However, setting the Exposure setting too high can introduce false marker reconstructions, merging of adjacent markers, and marker blurring—all of which can negatively impact the tracking quality.

Note that minimum and maximum Exposure values will depend on the camera model as well as the frame rate setting. The Exposure is measured in scanlines for Flex 3, V100, and V120 series cameras, and in microseconds for Flex 13, S250e, and Prime Series cameras.
