Using the CS-200 and CS-400 calibration squares with Motive 1.7.2 or earlier
CS-200 CS-400
In addition to a more usable, durable, and accurate design, these new calibration squares have been updated to reflect Motive’s recent standardization on a Right-Handed Coordinate System.
If you are using the CS-200 or CS-400 with Motive 1.7.3 or higher, the system will detect their presence and make any necessary adjustments, automatically. However, if you are using Motive 1.7.2 or below, please follow these steps during every calibration:
Step 1 - In the Camera Calibration pane under the Ground Plane group box, set the Vertical Offset to:
• –19 if you are using the CS-200 calibration square
• –42 if you are using the CS-400 calibration square
Step 2 - Click on Set Ground Plane
Step 3 - Under the Capture Volume Rotation group box set the Z Axis to 180
Step 4 - Click on Apply Rotation
If you are using the CS-200 or CS-400 in Motive 1.7.2 or below, and you do not follow the above steps, the volume will appear upside-down, with an inverted X axis, in the 3D perspective viewport.
